Put Away

Place received stock into specific bin rack locations in your warehouse.

Put Away is the final step in the receiving workflow — placing received items into their designated storage locations (bin racks) within your warehouse.

Storage

Overview

The Put Away page shows all items that have been received into your warehouse but not yet placed into bin rack locations. Each item displays the product details and the quantity available to put away.

Put away workflow

Select a location

Choose your warehouse location from the selector. This shows only items in the put-away queue at that location.

Choose a quantity

For each item, enter the number of units you want to put away. This can be the full amount or a partial quantity if you're splitting stock across multiple bins.

Select a bin rack

Use the searchable dropdown to find the target bin rack. Bins are sorted numerically by their reference (e.g., A-A-01-01-L) and you can search by reference name.

Confirm put away

Click the Put Away button for that item. A confirmation toast shows the bin reference where the stock was placed.

Key details

  • Quantity validation — You can't put away more units than are in the put-away queue
  • Partial put away — Split stock across multiple bin racks by putting away partial quantities
  • Real-time updates — Items are removed from the list as they're fully placed
  • Sequential processing — Process items one at a time, working through the queue

Bin rack search

The bin rack selector supports search — type part of the reference to quickly find the right location. This is especially useful in warehouses with hundreds of bins.

Stock state change

When you put away stock:

  • Put Away Stock decreases by the placed quantity
  • Available Stock increases by the same amount
  • The item appears in the target bin rack's contents

This means the stock becomes available for order fulfillment as soon as it's placed.

Empty state

When all items at a location have been placed, the page shows "No items to put away in this location" — meaning the put-away queue is clear.
