Production Jobs lets you manage in-house manufacturing runs — tracking jobs from creation through to completion.

Overview

When your organisation manufactures products internally, production jobs help you:

  • Create and assign manufacturing jobs
  • Track progress through production stages
  • Monitor output quantities and completion rates
  • Link production to inventory for automatic stock updates

Production Jobs is designed for organisations that manufacture or assemble products in-house. If you only purchase finished goods from suppliers, you'll primarily use Purchase Orders instead.

Creating a production job

To start a new production run:

Navigate to Production Jobs

Go to Operations → Production Jobs in the sidebar.

Create a new job

Click the create button to open the production job form.

Enter job details

Specify the product, target quantity, assigned processes, and any notes. Link the job to a production process template if applicable.

Track progress

As production progresses, update the job status and quantities. Completed items flow into inventory.

  • Made to Order — Link production jobs to customer orders requiring custom manufacturing
