Consignments

Manage shipment groupings that bundle orders together for fulfillment.

Consignments are the core unit of fulfillment in Helium — each consignment groups one or more orders together for picking, packing, and shipping.

The Consignments page shows all shipment groupings with real-time status tracking. Consignments flow through a defined lifecycle from creation to dispatch.

Actions

Merge Open consignments

Click Merge Open to consolidate multiple open consignments for the same customer. This reduces shipping costs by combining orders into fewer shipments.

Generate Pick List

Select one or more open consignments and click Generate Pick List to create a warehouse pick list.

Pick list requirements

All selected consignments must share the same location and channel type to be combined into a single pick list.

Filtering

  • Client — Filter by client in multi-tenant setups
  • Customer group — View consignments for a specific segment
  • Status — Focus on a particular stage
  • Checkbox filters:
    • Single SKU — Consignments with only one product
    • Single Unit — Consignments with just one item
    • Part-Ship Eligible — Can be partially shipped
    • All Items In Stock — Ready to fulfill completely
    • Backordered — Waiting for stock replenishment

Fulfillment workflow

Consignment created

Consignments are created from confirmed orders — either automatically or manually, depending on your configuration.

Generate pick list

Select open consignments and generate a pick list. This tells the warehouse team which items to collect and from which bin racks.

Pick items

The warehouse team picks items using the pick list, guided by the warehouse map for optimised routing.

Pack at pack station

Picked items move to the pack station where they're scanned into cartons, weighed, and prepared for shipping.

Generate shipping labels

Shipping labels are generated through your configured carrier integration (e.g., FedEx).

Dispatch

The consignment is dispatched, inventory is adjusted, and tracking information is recorded.
