Adding a new customer

Navigate to Customers

Go to Commerce → Customers in the sidebar.

Create new customer

Click the create button to open the customer form.

Enter details

Fill in the customer name and key contact information. The customer name is required — other details can be added later.

Add addresses

Add one or more addresses. You can designate default billing and shipping addresses, which are used automatically when creating orders.

Set account preferences

Optionally assign a pricing rule, customer group, and payment terms. These affect how pricing and invoicing work for this customer.

Searching and filtering

  • Search — Find customers by name, company, or email
  • Client filter — In multi-client setups, view customers for a specific client
  • Custom views — Save column layouts and filter combinations for different workflows

Customer addresses

Customers can have multiple addresses, each with its own purpose:

  • Default billing address — Used on invoices and financial documents
  • Default shipping address — Pre-selected when creating consignments
  • Additional addresses — Alternative delivery locations

Each address includes full postal details and can optionally include a phone number for courier contact.

Address management

Keep shipping addresses up to date — they're used when generating shipping labels. An incorrect address can delay fulfillment.

Importing customers

For bulk customer creation, use the import feature at Insights → Import → Customers. This accepts CSV files with customer details and addresses.
