Content AI automates the creation of product descriptions, titles, and marketing copy using artificial intelligence. Generate content for individual products or run batch jobs across your entire catalogue.

The Content AI page shows a chronological list of content generation jobs with their status and results. You can monitor active jobs in real time and review the outcomes of completed runs.
How it works
Content AI analyses your product data — including titles, brands, specifications, and supplier information — to generate relevant, professional product descriptions. The AI produces content tailored to your products based on the information available in your catalogue.
Data quality matters
The more complete your product data (specifications, brand, supplier details), the better the AI-generated content will be. Products with minimal information may produce generic descriptions.
Generating content
Single product generation
From the Products page, you can generate content for an individual product:
- Navigate to the product you want content for
- Use the Generate Content action
- The AI will create descriptions based on the product's data
- Review and edit the generated content as needed
Batch generation
For generating content across many products at once:
Start a batch job
From the Content AI page, click New Batch Job.
Configure the job
Select the products or criteria for the batch. You can generate content for all products or filter by specific criteria.
Monitor progress
The job appears in the list with a real-time progress bar showing how many products have been processed out of the total.
Review results
Once complete, expand the job details to see:
- Success count — Products that received new content
- Skipped count — Products already up to date (no changes needed)
- Failed count — Products where generation failed, with specific error details
Job statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Job queued, waiting to start |
| In Progress | Actively generating content, progress bar visible |
| Completed | All products processed successfully |
| Completed with Errors | Most products processed, but some failed |
| Failed | Job could not complete |
Viewing job details
Click on a completed job to expand its details. You'll see:
- Total SKUs in the batch
- How many succeeded, were skipped, or failed
- For failures: the specific SKU and error message, so you can investigate and retry
Smart skipping
Content AI automatically skips products that already have up-to-date content, saving processing time when re-running batch jobs on your catalogue.
Permissions and visibility
- Admin users and managers with product edit permissions can see all content generation jobs across the organisation
- Other users see only jobs they initiated themselves
