Import
Bulk import data from CSV files — products, suppliers, orders, customers, and images.
The Import feature lets you bulk-load data into Helium from CSV files. This is essential for initial setup, data migration, and ongoing bulk updates.

Import workflow
Select import type
Navigate to Insights → Import and choose the type of data you want to import.
Upload your CSV file
Select or drag-and-drop your CSV file. The system reads the file and shows a preview of the data.
Map columns
Map your CSV columns to Helium fields. The system attempts to auto-match common column names, but you can adjust the mapping manually.
Review and confirm
Preview the data that will be imported. Check for any warnings or errors before confirming.
Monitor progress
The import runs and shows progress. Once complete, you'll see a summary of successful imports, skips, and any errors.
Best practices
CSV formatting
- Use UTF-8 encoding for special characters
- Include a header row with column names
- Use consistent date formats throughout the file
- Remove any completely empty rows
Large imports
For very large files (thousands of records), the import may take several minutes. Don't close the browser tab during processing.
Error handling
If some records fail to import:
- The system shows which rows failed and why
- Successfully imported records are not affected
- You can fix the issues and re-import only the failed records
