Global Search
Search across all your data with the powerful global search feature.
Global Search is one of the most powerful features in Helium — it lets you find anything across your entire dataset with just a few keystrokes.
Opening search
Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) from anywhere in Helium to open the search dialog.
What you can search
Global search covers:
- Products — By SKU, title, or brand
- Customers — By name, company, or email
- Orders — By order number or reference
- Suppliers — By name
- Consignments — By consignment ID
- And more — Most major data types are searchable
Search tips
Be specific
The more specific your search term, the more relevant the results. Searching for a SKU code will give you an exact match, while searching for "blue" might return many results.
Use fuzzy matching
By default, search uses fuzzy matching — it handles typos and partial matches. If you need exact results, look for an exact match toggle on specific pages.
Navigate quickly
Search results are clickable — click any result to navigate directly to that record. This is often faster than navigating through the sidebar.
Power user shortcut
Many experienced Helium users navigate primarily through Ctrl+K search rather than the sidebar. It's especially useful when you know what you're looking for.
Page-level search
In addition to global search, most list pages have their own search functionality:
- Product catalogue — Search products with fuzzy/exact toggle
- Customer list — Search by name or company
- Order list — Search by order number
- Consignment list — Search by ID or customer
These page-level searches may offer additional filter options specific to that data type.
